Clarins Eau Dynamisante Moisturizing Body Lotion Review

So I really am lazy when it comes to body lotion, I just don’t bother most of the time. Although when it comes to the summer and once I get out in the sun, I can’t live without my moisturiser to sooth my burnt skin and simply just to prolong my tan, so this summer I’ve been using many body lotions religiously such as the body shop body butter, a Nivea body butter and a ghost body lotion, and of course the Clarins Eau Dynamisante Moisturizing Body Lotion which I will be reviewing. I liked all the moisturisers but i absolutley loved the Clarins body lotion which I will be reviewing.

So first of all the product was £28 for 250ml which I know is a lot for a moisturiser but I love this stuff it has a thin smooth consistency which goes into the skin really nicely and quickly, so you don't have so sit around waiting for 30 minutes for it to dry into your skin, it has a nice soft classic Clarins scent and but as I’m terrible at describing scents, I wont try, I’ll just say if you get chance go and smell it! It really does smell dreamy and the scent really stays I could still smell it on me by the evening, which I was very impressed with. As to the moisturising side of the product it really was hydrating and made my skin feel amazing, so soft and smooth within 2 to 3 days. Although I love this product it really isn’t something I’ll be running out to repurchase simply due to the price which I really think is a shame since its so gorgeous but I just cant justify the price, so I guess ill just have to find something just as amazing with a smaller price tag, but if you've got the money to spend, go for it, you wont regret it!

Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Range

I believe skin care really is one of the most important things in a beauty regime and I really think that the bigger the price the better the results or at least I did, until I found the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action range

So the products I am reviewing here (shown above) is the: Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Deep Pore Treatment Toner (£5.29 for 200ml) and Gel Wash (£5.79 for 150ml). So for the record I have acne prone normal to oily combination skin. The toner contains salicylic acid which really works on my skin, and I really do particularly like using acid based toners as I avoid aggravating face wash as it can damage young skin and cause premature ageing. The acid based toner also makes your skin feel extra clean compared to any other facial toners, and it really does give visibly clearer skin, maybe not in 12 hours but it does work. It's very similar to the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 (£16.50 for 200ml) which I really do like, but leaves me with a hole in my pocket considering I go though it in a month or two. The accompanying face wash I decided to buy when out repurchasing the toner, I do have to say I was a little disappointed with the cleanser, it does the job but I just find the smell quite overpowering and offensive as it has a sort of industrial cleaning scent and I don’t believe it lives up the claims of visibly clearer skin in 12 hours unlike the toner.

So finally this is a range I would highly recommend especially if your on a budget and suffer from acne or blemishes, and I shall continue to repurchase the toner and try other products from the range, but I must add especially when using an acid based toner like this one don’t forget to moisturise! It really is the most important part of your skincare routine and the acid really can dry your skin if you don’t moisturize

Lip Stains: Which to Buy ?

So I’m really not a lipstick or lip gloss gal as I really don’t like having to reapply makeup throughout the day so I like something long wearing and I just find lip-gloss too sticky so for me I find lip stain perfect. I'm also very unadventurous when it comes to lip colour, as I tend to stick to my trusty magenta pink with a hint of red.

The lip stains I will be reviewing and comparing are: (from left to right)
Benefit Benetint lip balm (£14.50)
Smashbox limitless lip stain and colour seal balm (in petal) (£18.50)
Max factor lasting lip tint (in 06 royal plum) (£6.99)
Benefit Benetint (24.50)
Rimmel 1000 kisses lip tint (in perpetual plum) (£5.99)

So the benefit Benetint lip balm I find such a novelty product, its a nice to have, but I don’t use it anywhere near enough as I just fine the gloss to sticky, the balm not nourishing enough, but I do like the colour it gives it just doesn’t last as long and the original Benetint. The Smashbox pen I was actually very disappointed with as I found the pen really didn’t apply much colour at all, however I did really the colour of the balm and how it applied although after 3 weeks of using the product the balm snapped and broke off. The max factor pen I thought was a great product especially for the price as it really doesn’t dry up and the colour is lovely and long lasting, although at times I did find the pen didn’t release and apply the colour very evenly. Next, the Benetint, this is my favorite lip stain I’ve ever used, its a perfect colour, builds up really nicely, applies evenly and lasts all day my only complaint with the product would be the brush applicator and of course the price however the product does last a really long time. Finally the Rimmel stain I loved the balm, it wasn’t at all sticky and was really long lasting although the pen itself, I liked the colour, however the pen dried up extremely quickly (3-5 weeks) and the colour didn’t apply at all as it often released too much of the stain leaving spots and uneven colour.

As to my favorite, yep you guessed it, it would have to be the Benetint, it would definitely be the one I advise the others although if your on a budget I’d go for the max factor lasting lip tint, but I would also advise if you do start using lip tint on a regular basis I would advise you using a lip balm as the lip stains can be quite drying on the lips.
